Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 Release Date
It is a sad, sad day. And I don’t mean the ongoing pandemics, heat waves and rigged elections. No, something much, much worse has happened: the release of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been delayed.
I guess we should have seen it coming. Still, many fans of the original Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines were hoping for a release in 2020. In an official statement released today, Andy Kipling and Jakob Munthe (from developer Hardsuit Labs and publisher Paradox Interactive respectively) explained that:
‘Our goal has always been to deliver the best game possible, to immerse you into a Seattle re-imagined in the World of Darkness, and deliver a worthy successor to the original Bloodlines game. Due to the quality bar and ambitions we have set for ourselves, we have made the difficult decision that we need more time’.
So when will Bloodlines 2 be released?
The release of the game will be no sooner than 2021.
Most fans reacted to the announcement with sadness, but also with understanding. Many people pointed out that they would rather have a worthy sequel to the popular 2004 RPG, than a hastened disappointment.
